First Time Blogger Here...

Alright guys, here goes nothing. After a few years of posting pictures of food and sometimes sharing recipes and tips I've decided to finally start a blog. I am not the biggest fan of writing so it may not be much more than recipes but hey you gotta start somewhere! Also I am going to let you know ahead of time that I WILL have grammar mistakes on this blog, if you can't handle that you might not want to continue reading.

To start off I figured I would share a little bit about myself. About 5 years ago now I was diagnosed with Graves disease which is an autoimmune disease affecting the thyroid. After seeing several doctors and being given some pretty harsh medical treatment options I decided to look into some alternative options with holistic health. A friend recommend a book by Dr. Amy Myers, The Autoimmune Solution and after finishing it in 3 days I was hooked on learning more about holistic health and treating my illness with food/lifestyle changes!

This was around the time that I was actually introduced to a Health and Wellness company called Arbonne that had all holistic personal care/nutrition items that were certified gluten free and vegan. I was impressed immediately with the skincare and decided to start my own business selling the products. They have been a constant in my life for 5 years now and are a huge reason my thyroid has managed to stay under control for the most part.

Let's fast forward to 2017, I decided to start classes with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a certified health coach. It was one of the best decisions I've made and has really helped me have a better understanding on how to create a balanced and nourishing life for myself and to help coach others in finding that too! If you do have any interest in learning more about what I offer as a health coach please feel free to reach out in my "Contact Me" Section or DM me on Instagram!

So, now that you know a bit about me lets get to the good stuff am I right? The recipes!!! The whole reason I am starting this thing is because I LOVE to cook and create new recipes. Most of my recipes will be "clean" meaning Gluten/Dairy/Soy free however I will occasionally throw in something like a homemade alfredo or mac 'n' cheese recipe because, 80/20 is a thing we follow in this household! So without further ado, LET'S GET COOKING!
